Rua Voluntários da República in Tomar. From an old to a new area

I remember well this street in Tomar called Rua Voluntários da República, because it was close to where I used to live. This was a street full of old buildings, but with the demolition of old houses and the fact that the Town Council of Tomar extended this street, now it can be considered one of the modern areas of the city, at least partially. This street starts in the corner of Rua Marquês de Pombal and Alameda Primeiro de Março and ends at Praça do Bom Jardim.

This photo was shot at the beginning of Rua Voluntários da República in Tomar, close to Alameda Primeiro de Março and Rua Marquês de Pombal. There's a nice supermarket here and modern apartments

This block of apartments seem to be at Rua Voluntários da República but if not exactly on this street, I'm sure it's quite close, perhaps a street junction

This is the end of Rua Voluntários da República which finishes at Praça do Bom Jardim in Tomar. On the left is the Finibanco, a bank that didn't exist when I migrated to Australia in 1989
