Large numbers of fish in this area of Nabão River in Tomar
This spot in Nabão River in Tomar, close to Mouchão Park and a couple of well known restaurants, is always full of fish, usually big and fat like these ones. Since there are restaurants nearby, their customers often come here and feed them with scraps of food, mainly bread. As a result fish tend to concentrate here in large numbers. This spot in Tomar would probably be a dream for anglers, but fishing is forbidden here. It would be too easy to catch fish in this area and I’m sure anglers are all after a challenge not easy captures.

When I shot this picture of this shoal of fish at Nabão River in Tomar, I was leaning on a small wall separating the river and a road that leads to Mouchão Park

Behind me are tow well known restaurants near Mouchão Park and their customers often come here to feed the fish, usually in the same spot I took this photo.
