Climbing a flight of 286 steps to the Chapel of Senhora da Piedade in Tomar

In these set of three photos, my family and I continue to climb the flight of 286 steps to the 400 years old Chapel of Senhora da Piedade in the City of Tomar. At this stage my wife and my son decided to sit down, waiting for me as I was walking at a much slower pace, given that I was taking photos at every opportunity. It was a beautiful Wednesday in Tomar, and I know the day of the week, because when I arrived at the chapel on top of the hill, there was a sign letting us know that this place of worship was closed on Wednesdays.

To get to the Chapel of Senhora da Piedade, first you have to walk through a long ramp before the staircase actually begins. In the distance I could see my family sitting down at the bottom of the staircase, waiting for me
